Hair Expo Australia is fast approaching and more details of the Australian hair industry’s most celebrated event are emerging, just in time for visitors to snap up the last Early Bird tickets before they end on 18 April.

The ticket brochure hit salons last week, and is also available to download from the Hair Expo website. It’s the go-to guide to help hairdressers plan their ultimate Hair Expo experience, featuring details on everything from the incredible curated education program, leading professional brands and features on the buzzing show floor, the GenNext event, the coveted Hair Expo Awards evening, and more.

In-depth education sessions covering business, barbering, cutting, styling and hands-on workshops are set to be a highlight of the Hair Expo long weekend. Big names from industry luminaries are on the bill, with the globally esteemed Sharon Blain inspiring audiences and taking them on a creative journey with the ‘Masters Edition’ Look ‘n’ Learn session, as well as fueling the creative passion of her audience during an intimate hands-on workshop focusing on long hair styling.

“I love Hair Expo and I always like to deliver a new creative concept. Over the past year, I've spent hours researching runway shows, interesting hair and what some of my favourite artists have been up to. I have taken my inspiration from some of the best. So, get ready for a mix of drop-dead hair ideas, session techniques and simple looks that will have you wanting more,” Blain said.

Education sensation Dario Controneo will be returning to Hair Expo for the first time in nine years, bringing a foray of techniques, styles and tips to inspire visitors of his ‘Next Thing Now’ Look ‘n’ Learn session.

“[I push] boundaries to achieve new techniques and this is what I like to express in my work. I believe to be a great hairdresser, good education is very important…I push hairdressers to regularly update their thinking and approach via my education programs,” said Controneo.

A bevy of top-tier local and international brands have signed-on to bring their latest and greatest products and technologies for visitors to see, sample and shop. Several industry favourites will be returning to Hair Expo, including Haircare Australia, O&M, Balmain Paris Hair Couture, De Lorenzo, Rogue Beauty, Seamless1, Timely, Previa, Y.S. Park, Paul Mitchell, Crown Brush Australia and many more. Salon professionals will also be treated to innovations from brand new exhibitors for 2019 including ANTI, Bondi Boost, Inova, NATULIQUE, and LOVESILK.

Visitors will bear witness to the best up and coming talent in the hairdressing industry at the GenNext evening taking place on Sunday 9 June, with show-stopping main act by industry legends Robert Cromeans and Angus Mitchell. The next generation of industry stars will be on show as they deliver a stunning series of theatrical runway shows. Teams from Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom will stun audiences during a night of inspiration, aspiration and entertainment.

The Top Salon Summit is expected to be a significant drawcard of Hair Expo this year, hosted by Todd Sampson, esteemed writer and host of award winning Discovery Science Series Redesign My Brain, and Robert Cromeans, hairdresser, salon owner, platform artist and Global Artistic Director for Paul Mitchell. With the topic this year being ‘Life Hacks’, the dynamic duo will leave the audience inspired, energised and excited through their discussions on their personal and business success.

Hair Expo is offering one lucky attendee the opportunity to WIN a one on one business session with industry mogul and Hair Expo 2019 international headliner, Tabatha Coffey. Coffey will devise a step-by-step plan tailored to achieve the winner’s business and career goals, and will help keep them on track via a follow-up Skype session.
