HaiR-3R’s: Recognise, Respond & Refer

In Australia, two women die every 10 days due to family violence. Research shows that many women establish close relationships with their salon professionals, and confide in them about the violence or controlling behaviour they are experiencing at home. EDVOS have developed a family violence training program, “Recognise, Respond and Refer” (also known as the HaiR-3R’s) - an interactive workshop giving hair salon professionals the appropriate tools and knowledge on what to do and say if faced with clients in need of further support.

To date, more than 350 Australian salon professionals and students have successfully completed the training. Visit the EDVOS team to understand how you have the power to guide your clients in need and hopefully make an incredible difference. Learn about common myths and facts around family violence, and ask how you can get FREE training for your salon or educational institute.
