2011 was another fantastic year for Hair Expo Australia. The premier hairdressing event in the Southern Hemisphere closes for another year and it’s full-steam ahead for 2012, with more than 50 exhibitors already signed up to be part of next year’s show.
10,300 visitors came through the doors at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre in June – up 2.2% on 2010 – with more that one third being salon owners themselves. For exhibitors, of the 144 stands representing more than 250 brands, 50 have signed on again for next year. That’s an increase in instant re-booking of almost 15% and includes some big names such as ghd and L’Oreal Professionnel set to bring the show to life in 2012.
Hair Expo Event Director, Julia Erben said of the achievement: “It’s great that people are having such a positive experience at Hair Expo that they’re immediately locking in their stands for 2012. And to have so many salon owners there over the weekend reaffirms the fact that we’re making a real impact on their businesses.
“L’Oreal Professionnel will be back in 2012 and so will ghd, supporting not just 2011 Australian Hairdresser of the Year Jayne Wild’s show, but the entire Saturday night Opening Gala. The L’Oreal group will sponsor the Sunday GenerationNext Night. We’ve been discussing concepts already and while I can’t say too much, it’s going to be amazing!”
With exhibitors already chomping at the bit to be part of Hair Expo in 2012, so too will all aspiring hairdressers across Australia and New Zealand, when awards submissions open in October.
